On November 18, 2023, an officer with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office went to 503 Wagonwheel Road in Richmond just after 11 am, to serve a criminal summons.
It was there the officer says he observed a very suspicious acting person. The suspect was observed, throwing something into a vehicle. He then failed to follow commands to stop and to remove his hands from his pockets.
When the officer attempted to detain the subject, he became combative, swinging at the officer and fled the scene. Witnesses were able to positively identify the subject as 54 year-old Conley Jones of London.
According to the arrest citation, Jones was located and taken into custody Saturday, November 25, 2023.
He’s facing a long list of additional charges, including fleeing, resisting arrest, and assault of a police officer.
Jones was originally sought for escape second-degree stemming from a warrant out of Jefferson District Court.
