Last night around 11 p.m. June 22, 2023, Richmond Police responded to fight call at the Galaxy Bowling Center parking lot on Amberly Way. According to the police report, officers observed Christopher Vulgar of Waco yelling aggressively at other people in the area.
The officer on scene stated Vulgar was slurring his speech, smelled of alcohol, and refused a breathalyzer test. Video surveillance obtained by the officer indicated Vulgar had been in a vehicle, trying to back up and go forward, nearly striking another parked vehicle. Vulgar was subsequently arrested, and while being transported, the officer reported Vulgar slipped his cuffs under his legs and began beating the cage and kicking the doors of the police cruiser doing an estimated $1000 in damage, followed by urinating in the vehicle.
Vulgar was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and criminal mischief.
