The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, was contacted just before 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, in reference to a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on KY 11 in Lee County.
Investigators say a 2013 GMC Acadia, operated by Teresa Barrett, 45, of Lagrange Kentucky was traveling north on KY 11 when she struck a man, Thomas E. Colwell, 59, of Jackson, who was on the roadway.
As a result of the collision, Mr. Colwell was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on the scene by Lee County Coroner Joshua Hagan. Ms. Barrett was not injured in the collision.
The ongoing collision investigation is being conducted by Trooper Neal Barnes. He was assisted on the scene by Kentucky State Police personnel, Lee County EMS, and the Lee County Coroner’s office.
