Man flees from police, racks up seven charges against him

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department recently arrested a man for being reckless and evading the police.

Police conducted a stop on a white Mitsubishi belonging to 46-year-old Dallas Clifford.

While the officer was in his unit checking the driver through NCIC, Clifford allegedly started the vehicle and took off.

Reports state that Clifford was being reckless by crossing over into the opposing lane of travel numerous times, driving pass vehicles that were backing into a driveway, and even ramming a farm gate that was closed and locked.

The pursue ended when Clifford’s vehicle became stuck in the mud.

Police had to force Clifford to the ground as he wasn’t complying with commands.

Clifford was charged with reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding 20mph over limit, first-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, buy/possess drug paraphernalia.

In addition, Clifford has been previously convicted of multiple felonies in Rockcastle Circuit Court.
