A man has died in an accident earlier today in Estill County. Around 12 noon today, authorities responded to Highway 499 (Wisemantown Road ) in the Doug hill area in reference to a one vehicle accident.
The driver had left the road and struck a tree. The sole occupant, David Ross age 51 of Irvine, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Estill County Coroner Jimmy Wise.
Wet roads were considered to be a factor in the accident.
