The Richmond Police Department arrested a man earlier this week for sexually abusing a child under 12 years of age.
A citation states that the juvenile victim (8 years old at the time) lived with her aunt and that 49 year old Joseph Lynch was dating her aunt.
Police conducted a CAC meeting with the victim. The juvenile victim, who is now 11 years old, stated that when they were home alone, Lynch would try to get her to play what she called “dirty games.” On a different instance, Lynch allegedly told the victim to do as he says but she got scared and ran into another room.
The victim also stated that Lynch told her if she didn’t do what he asked, he had taken a video of the incident and that he would show her aunt and get her in trouble.
Lynch was transported to the Madison County Detention Center and charged with 1st degree sexual abuse.
