Richmond Police were dispatched to a home on South Porter Drive over the weekend following reports of a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they made contact with Valentino Paige who said that his pregnant girlfriend and he got in a fight over her using his computer.
According to the citation, both had observable bruises and cuts which were photographed and logged as evidence.
However, upon speaking to both the victim and Paige, police determined that Paige allegedly ripped out part of his girlfriend’s hair, and hit her in the face causing a nose bleed.
Paige said that this was an accident, and he was trying to defend himself as the altercation progressed by both parties.
After logging evidence, Paige was taken to the hospital for a potential back injury after being treated on scene, and was then lodged in the Madison County Detention Center and charged with fourth degree assault (minor injury).
His girlfriend, the victim, refused treatment by EMS.
