Details have just been released stemming from an incident Wednesday around 1230 PM, when Officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to a residence on Aqueduct Drive in reference to a physical domestic altercation and reports of shots fired. When Officers arrived, they located several subjects involved in the incident as they were leaving the area on foot in separate directions.
During the investigation, it was discovered Jerrod Parrish, 28, of Richmond, had been involved in an altercation with his wife, Jonneisha Lewis, 32, of Richmond. Lewis allegedly confronted Parrish and took narcotics from him during an argument that turned physical. Lewis told Officers Parrish was hitting her in the head with a pistol, and while she attempted to escape, he shot at her. A witness in the area observed the altercation and called 911.
With the assistance of Madison County Sheriff Office’s K-9 Jimmy, the investigation produced large amounts of narcotics, including approximately ½ pounds of suspected heroin, 12 grams of suspected fentanyl, 2 oz. of suspected methamphetamine, and several unidentified pills. Police also located two handguns and discovered one had been stolen from Lexington, KY.
