This morning, just before noon, the Berea Police Department was made aware of a threat concern at Madison Southern High School. Immediately after the call both Madison Southern and Foley Middle School were placed on lockdown, following the school procedures. Along with other surrounding agencies, the Berea Police Department along with Madison County Schools Staff investigated the threat and found that there was no active situation or concern and thus lifted the lockdown on campus. In a social media post the BPD thanked the support of their fellow law enforcement partners and ensured that the safety of the students was their top priority.
