A memorial marker for Andrew Tribble was unveiled last Sunday at Union City Park in Madison County. Andy Tribble and his brother Amos were Vaudeville performers both born here in Madison County.
These brothers were the popular talent for the famous radio show of the 20s, the Amos & Andy Show. This popular show became a TV hit during the 50s and 60s where the two performed various styles of music, theater and comedy.
Rev. Dr. Russell Rechenback lead the charge for the historic Tribble marker. There were also many notable speakers during the ceremony that spoke about Rechenbacks passion and dedication to preserving history and making sure Andrew Tribble will not be forgotten.
