WbonTV Stopped by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and spoke with K9 handler Deputy Kermeen.
Kermeen told us all about the upcoming online fundraiser that has a matching grant attached to it for double the money. Kermeen and the sheriff’s office highly encourage those that can to give to donate, so the training of the K9s can commence smoothly.
The online fundraiser lasts all of September and another event will be held in October for K9s and K9 handlers. The October event will be a K9 first aid class, and will only be available to the K9 unit officers who are handlers.
Kermeen also speaks of the importance of teaching K9 first aid and again encourages all K9 handlers to come down and learn safety for their furry companions.
