Following a months-long investigation by the Department of Child Based Services and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, a Madison County man is now charged with three counts of 1st degree sexual abuse and one count of 1st degree sodomy of a minor.
According to police, DCBS officials began investigating a reported case of juvenile sexual abuse in January 2026.
Throughout the course of the investigation, authorities discovered that there were two additional victims involved in the case.
On Saturday, June 13th, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office arrested 71-year-old John Kendall and charged him with multiple counts of sexual abuse of a minor. Kendall was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center on a bond of $50,000.
