During the Thursday night school board meeting, it was revealed that Madison County Schools are purchasing the Hines Motel. The purchase was not via eminent domain and the motel was purchased for a total of $250,000.
Other matters discussed was the student showcase of fifth grader Payton Gabber who won children’s champion month. Her artwork will be featured on three billboards around Richmond for the duration of March.
Graduation for high school seniors will be held on May 25th for Madison Southern and on May 26th for Madison Central.
New serving lines were also approved for purchase and construction for the the new elementary school is on schedule and expected to finish on time.
