Madison County Schools approves pay increases for faculty

At last night’s Madison County School Board meeting, the Board of Education approved an increase to the certified salary schedules that moves the pay for Madison County School employees into the top 20% of districts in the state of Kentucky.

The 2023-2024 Certified Salary Schedule will reflect an increase of at least 2% at all rank and experience levels and substantially more than that for years 20 and above. The average increase for the entire certified schedule is 4.76% and the average increase for 20 years and above is 8.27%.

The 2023-2024 Classified Pay Scales have an increase of $1 per hour for all employees and $2 per hour for all classified staff with 20 or more years of experience.

In a statement from Superintendent David Gilliam, he said “I appreciate the commitment of the Madison County Board of Education to our employees and our community and I appreciate each staff member for all that you do”
