Recently, Kentucky State Police arrested a man after he allegedly stole an entire storage shed.
On Saturday, police report responding to a complaint from a woman advising authorities that her storage shed had been stolen. The shed valued at $8,570.00 was soon located by the owner near College Hill road. According to the citation, the woman called police to confirm the discovery and to have an officer present to speak with the homeowner where the building was located.
Troopers report asking the homeowner how he obtained the shed and he stated that 53-year-old Lewis Conway sold it to him for a lump sum of $2000. The homeowner reportedly told officials he gave Conway a $500 down payment and later gave another $1000 towards the shed.
Police report locating Conway near Charlie Norris Road. There, Conway denied knowing anything about the shed or the transaction between him and the homeowner. Conway was reportedly transported to the MCDC for unlawfully taking the women’s property and sold it with intent to deprive her of said property. He was charged with theft by unlawful taking under $10k.
