Yesterday around 8 p.m., a Madison County Deputy reports being contacted by the Chief Deputy in regards to possible contraband in the Detention center.
Deputies arrived on scene, and according to the report made contact with 25 year old Christopher Hight who himself was a Deputy working in the institution. The Deputy was reportedly provided the contraband that had been found on Hight’s person.
Hight reportedly claimed that he thought the contraband was just ordinary tobacco, but upon further inspection the Deputy reported finding numerous Suboxone strips hidden inside the tobacco, which was wrapped in cellophane and electrical tape.
Hight was Mirandized at the Sheriff’s Department and further advised officials he was paid to take the item into the Detention Center. He was transferred from the MCDC to the Clark County Detention Center.
