When you think that you have seen almost everything, you are invited to a birthday party for your great niece and guess who, or better yet, what shows up. The answer is Ellie, a 8-month old kangaroo hopped around the house and entertained the birthday girl and her friends and family.
Unbeknownst to me and others, we turned around today and someone was holding a baby kangaroo. That someone was Tessa Norman from the Pink Cadillac Ranch. Tessa and her husband, Matthew Norman, own the Pink Cadillac Ranch on Concord Road.
Tessa told me that she enjoys taking Ellie to visit people with disabilities, nursing homes, day cares, and birthday parties. Tessa said that Ellie brings smiles to many, but some young children are a bit scared. I’m guessing because they have never seen a kangaroo in person.
Tessa also told me to check out the Pink Cadillac Ranch on Facebook, and I could see their mini pig, some ponies, a few goats, and some zebu cows.
Watching Ellie entertain my great niece was a real treat, and I strongly recommend inviting Ellie and Tessa to your next surprise party or birthday party. For the record, Ellie wears a diaper and is quite friendly.
