A state inmate, under the custody and control of the Department of Corrections, walked away from the Bluegrass Career Development Center in Richmond.
Authorities say 42-year-old Michael Walling of Irvine was not present for the morning headcount on Sunday January 7, 2024, just before 9 am.
Walling was recaptured around 9 p.m. Sunday night by Officer Conrad of the Irvine Police Department.
Walling now faces additional charges of parole violation and escape.
He’s now in the Madison County Detention Center.
