Today the Madison County Health Department addressed what they say have been reports that the Madison County Health Department has permanently closed in Berea. They stress that is not all true.
The Berea office is closed temporarily because of concerns regarding the foundation of the Martha Pride Community Center Building in Berea. They say the closure is just a precaution until they have adequately inspected the building to address whether any repairs may be needed. After that is done, they will have more information on the length of that closure after that time.
In the interim, there is no service disruption. The Berea clinic provided telephonic WIC services to the community and staff will provide the same care and services from the 214 Boggs Lane Richmond location.
