A Madison Central Wrestling Coach has been arrested following reports of domestic violence. Richmond Police responded to the residence of 34 year old Chad Fyffe early Sunday morning after receiving a call from a female victim, saying that Fyffe had a gun. Police say they arrived on scene and found Fyffe brandishing the firearm in the air. Authorities report that he was visibly under the influence, and could only speak incoherently. Upon further questioning, Fyffe claimed that the victim and he got into an argument during which she attempted to hit him with a lamp.
Police then discovered visible injuries on the victim. At this time, the victim showed officers the bedroom which was reportedly in disarray, with bloodstains covering the sheets, pillows, and blankets. She stated that during an argument, Fyffe allegedly held her down to the bed, where she attempted to hit Fyffe with a lamp in an attempt to escape. Fyffe allegedly responded by striking her until she managed to hide in the bathroom until she could escape and call authorities. While she was in the bathroom, Fyffe reportedly threatened to kill her several times.
Fyffe was arrested at approximately 3AM Sunday morning and charged with 4th Degree Assault, 3rd Degree Terroristic Threatening, and 1st Degree Unlawful Imprisonment. Fyffe was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
