A London man charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence stemming from a May arrest is now back in custody, this time here in Madison county. 39 year old Jess Messer was brought in on the warrant for the deadly charges related to a Jackson county shooting, where one man was found dead in a vehicle. According to police from his previous arrest, Messer had confronted a man after a dispute between him and his wife, and then allegedly shot him to death on Old Island city Road. He has now been served with an indictment warrant and is lodged in the Madison County Detention center.
