Over the weekend, a picture stating that there was another sexual assault on EKU’s campus was cycling through social media, and sparking some panic.
However, WBONtv spoke with multiple local police after multiple viewers sent us the picture and are able to verify that no such recent assault of a female has occurred. EKU also verified that no email stating this happened was sent to the student body.
The picture also stated that a girl was kidnapped from Kroger for sex trafficking, but this is also false. However, there have been multiple cases of missing women in the area, so it is always necessary to be vigilant and college students are encouraged to walk in groups, especially at night.
