Wbontv received reports last night of a seemingly large forest fire burning on Mallory Springs Road off of Redlick Road in Madison County.

Madison County Fire and Redlick Volunteer Fire had to request help from the Kentucky Division of Forestry & Bluegrass Army Depot Fire Dept.
Within a short time period, firefighters were able to cut a fire line with a bulldozer, according to those on scene. Madison County Fire Dept, Redlick Volunteer Dept, and the Kentucky Division of Forestry worked together to get the fire under control digging by hand as well to quell the blaze around 7 p.m. last night.
