A member of the Lincoln County Sheriffs staff fired his weapon striking a subject today. The Kentucky State Police Post 7 out of Richmond was then requested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the officer-involved shooting that occurred before 3:30 p.m. on Denny Road in Lincoln County.
KSP Post 7 Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene and discovered the subject in need of medical attention. A male subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment. This is an active investigation, and we expect further details in the days to come.
