According to Kentucky state police, troopers took into custody a Lexington man after a high-speed chase early this morning. Troopers report that the chase took them through four counties, where they were pursuing 19-year-old Teonte White.
White is facing a handful of charges after a trooper attempted to pull over the silver Dodge Avenger that he was driving around 4 a.m. this morning.
White was first observed near Highway 75 in Madison County after exceeding speeds nearing 104 m.p.h.
White allegedly refused to stop, leading police on the high-speed chase through Rockcastle, Laurel and eventually Knox counties. The chase eventually ended near Barbourville at KY Highway 6.
White was charged with speeding and first-degree flee and evading police, and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
