A traffic stop by the Berea Street Crimes Unit in the area Monday has resulted in the arrest of a Lexington man.
According to BPD, the stop was madee just off I-75N. Deputy Hamilton responded with K9 Bruno to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. K9 Bruno alerted officers to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle.
A search was conducted where 37 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 3 grams of suspected fentanyl (not including five pieces of folded up paper containing suspected fentanyl) 4.5 grams of marijuana, several items of paraphernalia, numerous baggies for packaging narcotics and $412.00 in US currency.
Anthony Cornelison of Lexington was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine second offense, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, failure to signal and license to be in possession.
