Yesterday marked the final resting day for former Madison county Sheriff Cecil “Dude” Cochran Jr. Proudly serving as Sheriff for more than 25 years, Cochran Jr. was the longest serving Sheriff in all of Madison county.
Dude was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was well respected in his community.
His life is a piece of Madison county history. He will be missed by all, but especially his family.
