On Wednesday morning, Laurel County Deputies were called to investigate a complaint that a male subject, 41-year-old Jeffery Callahan, was allegedly watching a female subject through the windows at her home north of London.
Upon the deputies’ arrival to the scene, investigators determined that a nearby residence was where Callahan was located. Reportedly, when authorities attempted to make contact with a female subject living there, she denied knowing the whereabouts of Callahan.
According to the citation, it was discovered that Callahan was hiding beside the bed where the female subject, Marilyn Mitchell, was located. Authorities determined that Mitchell knew that there were outstanding charges on Callahan.
Callahan was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center, where he was charged with Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration (1st Offense) and Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place (1st & 2nd Offense).
Mitchell was also arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center, where she was charged with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension (2nd Degree).
