An Ohio man was fatally injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash which occurred on KY Hwy 1376 in Laurel County on Saturday afternoon.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Investigators report that a motorcyclist, later identified as Domonic Sanchez of Xenia Ohio, was traveling west on KY 1376, when they struck an eastbound pickup. As a result of the accident, Sanchez suffered a fatal injury.
The driver of the pickup, identified as 54 year-old Ronnie Davis of East Bernstadt, reportedly fled the scene of the crash, but was located by an off-duty Sheriff’s Deputy and London City Police in London city limits. Davis received minor injuries from the crash but did not require medical attention.
Davis was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center, and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving on a DUI Suspended License. Sanchez was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash by the Laurel County Coroner’s office.
