The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has released an update on the deceased male subject who was found in a pond near Blakely Road.
The subject has now been positively identified as 35 year-old Matthew David McQueen who was previously reported as a missing person.
Authorities say the preliminary cause of death is believed to be drowning. The death investigation began when McQueen’s body was found on the morning of April 26th, and is ongoing.
