WBON-TV9 is following reports of a large police presence at Clays Ferry. From a viewer submitted video (below) authorities are shown to be searching the river area by spotlight.
Other police vehicles are stationed on the Clays Ferry Bridge at this time.
WBON-TV has confirmed that a car was left abandoned on the bridge, and the driver’s whereabouts are unknown.
Lexington Police have also confirmed to WBON that they responded late Thursday night to Old Richmond Road for a report of a suicidal subject. A search was conducted, but the adult subject was not located. A missing person’s report has now been filed.
The investigation and search for the subject are ongoing.
