KY 713 (Indian Creek Road) in Menifee County is closed indefinitely at milepoint 9.3 due to a failing drainage structure and pavement damage. This is between Dennis Lane and Hidden Hollow Road, approximately three miles west of Menifee County High School.
One lane of the road was originally closed Monday when Transportation Cabinet personnel noticed a significant dip in the pavement. Upon closer inspection, the decision was made to completely close the road to ensure the safety of the traveling public.
KYTC engineers are investigating ways to repair the structure. Until then, the road will remain closed. Barrels and barricades are in place to block traffic.
Drivers should detour via US 460 until the road is reopened.
