Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say drivers who use KY 1571 (Millers Creek Road) just east of Ravenna in Estill County will need to find an alternate route beginning Monday, March 30.
According to KYTC, the road will be closed between milepoints 0.25 and 0.272 for 10 days for pavement repairs. This is between the KY 1645 intersection and the one-lane Cow Creek bridge. Travel between Beattyville and Irvine/Ravenna will be affected by this closure.
The road is expected to reopen on Wednesday, April 8, with all work on the project scheduled to be completed by June 30.
KYTC officials say a signed detour will be posted alerting drivers to use KY 52 as an alternate route.
