The toll drugs and drug addiction has taken on Kentucky families over the years is immeasurable. The increase in drug problems in the state has far reaching consequences. One is the seemingly never ending demand on law enforcement dealing with the thefts, domestic abuse, possession and litany of related charges and offenses related to drugs.
The Kentucky State Police “Angel Initiative” is an outreach program to help individuals who want help and support turning their lives around. Anyone battling addiction can come to any KSP post and get help finding treatment. This is completely voluntary, and individuals will not be arrested or charged with any violations if they agree to participate in treatment.
