WBON-TV9 is learning more details about the wreck involving a fire truck earlier Sunday evening.
The Kirksville Volunteer Fire Department says one of its fire truck was involved in that single vehicle accident that occurred around 6:20 p.m. Sunday evening. The wreck occurred in the area of Moran Mill and Joe Jones Road in Madison County. Kirkville Fire Department says the truck was not responding to an emergency at the time of the crash.
No one involved was seriously injured according to the department. The crew members in the wreck were transported to the hospital and are in stable condition.
The Kentucky State Police is currently handling the investigation into the cause of the accident.
The Kirksville Volunteer Fire Department say they are fully cooperating with law enforcement officials and will take appropriate measures as needed to ensure the continued safety of its personnel and the public.
