A Nicholasville woman has been arrested on a sexual exploitation charge following a tip from the Madison County Detention Center.
The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 41 year-old Jana Riley on charges related to child sexual abuse material. KSP began their investigation after receiving information from the Madison County Detention Center that a contracted employee that worked inside the jail allegedly had child sexual abuse material on their cell phone. The material was observed during an internal investigation relating to a separate incident.
Riley had previously been charged with two counts of 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), two counts of 1st Degree Promoting Contraband, Buying or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
After the investigation by the Electronic Crime Branch, Riley was charged with one count of Promoting a Minor Under 16 in a Sexual Performance, which is a class B felony. She was lodged in the Jessamine County Detention Center.
