Lexington Police pursued a vehicle into Madison County this afternoon. The vehicle was observed at the scene of a shots fired incident earlier in Lexington around Kirklevington Park.
A large police presence descended on the area of Clay Lane and Lexington Road as officials believed the driver may have been a victim or the suspect they were in search of from the earlier incident.
According to KSP, who assisted Lexington Police, although the car was positively confirmed at the shots fired scene, it was determined by law enforcement the driver was not directly involved in that incident
The female driver, 21 year old Jayme Owens of Paris was still charged with:
Unlawful Transaction with a minor 2nd
Buy/Possess Drug Paraphernalia
She was booked in the Madison County Detention Center.
