Richmond police report making an arrest at Kroger after being advised of a shoplifter at the store.
Officials state that upon arrival they observed 51-year-old Etta Conner allegedly shoving and striking a member of the Kroger loss and prevention team. Conner allegedly admitted to authorities that she concealed several items in her purse and shoved the employee several times after attempting to leave the store.
After a search of the suspect’s purse, police report finding 3 marijuana joints and a baggie containing methamphetamine along with some paraphernalia. Conner also allegedly advised police that she came to the store with 53 year old Doris Brinegar, who was sitting in the car in the parking lot.
Police report gaining consent from Brinegar to search her purse and vehicle. Officers report finding various legend drugs, two methamphetamine pipes, and a small amount of Methamphetamine.
Both Conner and Brinegar were arrested on possession of unspecified drug charges as well as Methamphetamine possession charges. Conner was also charged with robbery 2nd degree. Both suspects were lodged in the Madison County Detention center.
