Estill County Sheriff Chris Flynn reports he responded to the parking lot of a local grocery Stop and Shop just off the Richmond Road in Irvine earlier this Friday afternoon in reference to a possible drug transaction being made. The sheriff’s K9 unit “Ruby” was deployed to conduct a free air sniff around the vehicle reported involved. According to
the report, K9 Ruby gave a conditioned response to the odor of illegal narcotics. While searching the vehicle approximately 174 grams of a crystal substance suspected be to methamphetamine was found. A small bag of brown powder suspected to be fentanyl and several bars suspected to be Xanax were also found. The investigation led to the arrest of two females, 49 year old Royce Richardson, and 42 year old Ladonna Riddle on multiple drug trafficking charges. Riddle was also facing an indictment warrant out of Estill Co Circuit court. Both were lodged in the Three Forks Detention Center in Lee County.
