Judge Reagan Taylor Elected as VP of KY Association of Counties Executive Board

From a press release from the Judge Executive’s Office:

Madison County Judge Reagan Taylor was elected as 2nd Vice President of the Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo) Executive Board of Directors this week at the 43rd Annual KACo Conference held in Louisville.

“I am humbled by the support I have received from my peers and look forward to the opportunity to represent both Madison County and all of Kentucky’s counties at the state and national level,” said Judge Executive Reagan Taylor.

Taylor won in a contested race between Carlisle County Judge Executive Greg Terry and Warren County Sheriff Peanuts Gaines.

“I want to especially thank my fellow magistrates Tom Botkin, Larry Combs, Roger Barger and John Tudor, as well as County Clerk Kenny Barger, PVA Billy Ackerman, and Sheriff Mike Coyle for encouraging and supporting me through the KACo nominating process.”

The Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo) serves all 120 counties of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As a service organization, KACo provides assistance to its members and political subdivisions to improve county government. KACo has been representing the needs of county government in legislative matters and offering a variety of services to promote the progress of county government.

Note: This makes the second statewide local government executive leadership position to be held be a Madison Countian. Not only is Judge Reagan Taylor serving on KACo leadership, but Mayor Jim Barnes is also serving as this year’s Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) president.
