A joint investigation conducted by area law enforcement officers has resulted in two subjects being arrested and charged in Laurel County regarding a major crime ring involving the thefts of ATM machines and stolen vehicles. Today, Laurel Sheriff John Root says more arrests have occurred in surrounding counties also as a result of the investigation.
Investigators say 15 different cases of thefts and stolen vehicles from southern Kentucky to Tennessee have now been solved.
Arrested are: Shannon Ray Davidson age 30 and Kody Davidson age 31 both of Sparrow Lane in Barbourville.
Both are facing extensive charges related to thefts that involved chaining and ripping out the ATMS with stolen vehicles across the southern Kentucky region and are now lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
Agencies involved in the joint investigation include: the Laurel County Sheriff’s office, Knox County Sheriff’s office, Corbin Police Department, Barbourville Police Department, and London City Police.
