***UPDATE: Cody was found in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 27th in Savannah Georgia. Sheriff Hays reports he was safe when he was located.***
WBON-TV visited Mckee today in order to sit down with Sheriff Paul Hays and get the latest details on the missing Jackson County Boy, Cody Tincher.
Hays says that Tincher’s parents are very concerned about his well being, as he has been without any contact and with the family truck since last Thursday. Tincher has been off his medication, according to his parents, and suffers from a disorder which causes him to make rash decisions. That, coupled with the fact that he had the combination to the family safe and was able to get a hold of cash and a pistol, makes for an even more dire search for the high school student.
The Sheriff says Tincher could be anywhere, possibly out of the county and as far as states away as he had enough cash to get him far. According to his school counselor, Cody loved water and therefore could have headed to a coast area. A nationwide release of his picture and information is being sent out to try and get Cody back home.
