Berea has declared this week emergency medical services week. Berea mayor Bruce Fraley praised the Berea EMS team for being on call 24/7 ready to provide life saving care and for the work they have done to combat the opioid epidemic. The proclamation read by Fraley said “It is appropriate to recognize the value and accomplishments of emergency medical services providers.”
There was also an update for the annual Swing for a Cure baseball tournament. An annual tournament that raises money for the American Cancer Society and the Matt Ross Fund, a non-profit that allows under privileged children to participate in the Madison County Youth League. This year’s tournament is set for the 26th through the 28th of July.
