Two inmates from Boyle County Detention Center are being rewarded for their good decision making after turning in a loaded gun they found during a road cleanup.
Justin Sizemore is serving a sentence for robbery and theft of firearm while Steven Flatt is sentenced for complicity to burglary. They both work road cleanup projects for the county for about 6 hours everyday.
Both were shocked to see the .22 loaded revolver sitting in the grass.
According to our news partner LEX18, Sizemore and Flatt did not question their decision to quickly report the pistol.
