According to a social media post on their page, the Laurel County Fire Department announced that a tractor trailer overturned around mile marker 45 on I-75.
This accident initially blocked all traffic going South on the interstate, but one lane was opened around 2:30 p.m. to allow stopped traffic to resume travel.
An alternate route has been established by first responders at I-75 Exit 49 to Highway 25 south. Emergency officials say that it will most likely take several hours to completely clear the scene.
