I-75 southbound was at a standstill for hours Tuesday afternoon after a single vehicle accident.
An eyewitness to the crash stated the truck involved appeared to have a tire blow out. This caused the truck to hit a guardrail and flip, ejecting one person through a window.
Lexington Police now confirm two people were sent to the hospital as a result of the accident. One with life threatening injuries, one with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred this afternoon around 2:30 just across the Clays Ferry Bridge in Fayette County.
