Waco Fire and Rescue units responded to an early morning fire Sunday.
The call came in around 9:45 a.m. regarding a structure fire at 2421 Irvine Road. When units arrived, they reported heavy smoke from the structure. Chief Jason Rawlins told WBON early investigation pointed to the fire starting in the bedroom area of the home. No one was found in the home after searches by firefighters were made, and no injury’s have been reported.
The home did sustain extensive damage.
Waco Fire/Rescue, Richmond Fire/Rescue, Madison County Fire Department, and Madison County EMS all responded to the scene.
Madison County Sheriff Department provided traffic control, and Union City Fire Dept. provided a tanker for water.
