A high-speed pursuit in Estill County Wednesday night has an Irvine man facing several charges.
Police say Seargent Conrad of IPD observed a car on Hwy 89 in South Irvine around 6 last night. The car was traveling at a high rate of speed. When the officer initiated a stop, the suspect accelerated in an attempt to flee.
The pursuit continued to Mckee Road and eventually ended on Wagersvlle Road when the suspect pulled into a residential driveway. A subsequent search discovered methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Arrested was 24-year-old Alex Hoffman of Irvine. He’s facing speeding over 25, fleeing, wanton endangerment, reckless driving, and resisting arrest charges. He was processed into the Three Forks Regional Jail around 9 last night.
