Richmond Police were involved in a high-speed pursuit Saturday, when a subject was observed to be violating several traffic laws.
According to the citation, the operator of the vehicle failed to stop for a red light before turning onto Duncannon Lane. The suspect then proceeded to cut off traffic from both directions while turning onto Berea Road South from a gas station.
At this time, a Richmond Police Officer initiated a pursuit, activating his lights and siren. The vehicle’s driver allegedly refused to stop, almost causing several near-collisions on Berea Road.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Paul True, was located the day after in front of Quality Quarters in Richmond. Reportedly, True was determined to have a suspended status for operation of motor vehicles.
True was arrested and transferred to the Madison County Detention Center, where he was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police (1st Degree), Operating on a Suspended Operator’s License, and Reckless Driving.
