A late night search for a Madison County juvenile was launched Monday night in the Poosey Ridge area of the county. Law officials, first responders as well as a Kentucky State Police helicopter and Richmond Police drones searched the area for hours before the search was called until this morning out of precaution and for safety of officers and search crews.
As of this morning at 10:30, the subject has still not been located.
The search last night was concentrated in an area past the Salem Christian Church most of the evening, and the search resumed officially around 8:30 this morning.
The identity of the missing juvenile or the circumstances surrounding the youth’s disappearance has not been released at this time. WBON-TV has learned the subject sought is a 14-year-old male and reportedly left to feed animals at the family’s barn and never returned.
